Last Saturday, July 11, 2026, it was celebrated “United for Venezuela”, a global virtual event that brought together professionals, specialists and technology communities with a common goal: to share knowledge and support the people affected by the earthquake in Venezuela.
The event, which aired live on YouTube for 12 hours, featured the participation of 24 speakers from 12 countries, who offered talks on artificial intelligence, cloud computing, data analysis, databases, dashboards, intelligent agents, SQL, NoSQL and other technologies.
The day included content related to platforms and solutions for Microsoft, AWS y Google Cloud, allowing attendees to learn about trends, use cases and practical experiences presented by professionals from different parts of the world.
I also had the opportunity to participate as a speaker with the talk “Artificial Intelligence: Transforming Business and Everyday Life”. The objective of this session was to create a space for reflection on the impact that artificial intelligence is having both on organizations and on people's daily lives.
During the talk, we explored the origins and evolution of artificial intelligence, from its earliest beginnings to the present day, marked by the growth of generative AI, intelligent assistants, and agent-based systems. We also analyzed how these technologies are transforming productivity, decision-making, customer experience, innovation, and the way we work and interact with technology.
Beyond the technological component, “United for Venezuela” was a deeply supportive initiative. The event helped to make visible the situation of the affected communities and promoted fundraising to benefit of Cáritas Venezuela and Acción Humanitaria por Venezuela.
One of the highlights was the collaboration between organizers, moderators, speakers, volunteers, communities, and attendees. Everyone contributed their time, expertise, and commitment to demonstrate that technology can also be used as a tool to connect people, mobilize support, and generate a positive impact.
Participating in this initiative was a very special experience and an opportunity to contribute a small grain of sand through knowledge, technology and solidarity.
“United for Venezuela” left a clear message: when knowledge, community and solidarity come together, it is possible to transform a technological day into an action with a true human purpose.
Thank you to everyone who participated, shared the initiative, followed the broadcast, and contributed to this cause. Every bit of support was a small step towards helping the Venezuelan people during this especially difficult time.
